The production company is based in Standish, a community of about 17,000 near Wigan in Lancashire UK. More information on Standish can be found at http://www.standish.org.uk/ 

Shoestringtheatre, an amateur dramatics company, was formed in 2005 with the aim of staging productions for the people of Standish, with a cast drawn from the local community. The additional, and important, aim is to raise money for charitable causes. As such, all expense has been met by organisors & participants. The only supplement to these running costs is the proceeds from local events (such as dance nights) and hence the overall title of Shoestring Productions.

We do not have a theatre and use whatever facility is kindly offered to us (to date, that means the local Methodist Church Hall).
